Hiding of footer info does not work with Google Labs Preview Pane in vertical or horizontal split mode #333

What is the problem? Describe completely: Hiding of footer info (storage, 
legal, activity) does not work when using Google Labs Preview Pane in vertical 
split or horizontal split mode (it does work in no split mode).

Minimalist version   - 0.6.8 (latest install as of 10/20/13)
Relevant core module - ?
Chrome version       - Version 30.0.1599.101 m (latest up to date)
Operating System     - Win7 64 bit
Language             - English
Google Apps user?    - Not really
Other extensions     - AdBlock, AntiSocial, Bookmarks Button, Checker Plus for 
Gmail, Gmelius, Insert Text, Speed Dial 2

Please provide any additional information below and attach screenshots if
relevant. Gmelius also has options to hide/suppress presentation of footer 
information; it also successfully hides/suppresses the footer info in no split 
mode, but not in vertical or horizontal split mode (same issue as MFE).
