OK, I just need to comment out: https://github.com/ANSSI-FR/SmartPGP/blob/fbce42483f274694d0c76a51aec061e83219de28/bin/smartpgp/highlevel.py#L134-L135
But, it would be nice having flags for above scenario.
Closing, my question has been answered.
I have created my GnuPG keypair with
ed25519
primary key andnistp521
subkeys due to the limitations of smartcardj3h145
. Unfortunately, there are currently no smartcards supporting JavaCard 3.1 on the market. I figured out that I can only use the smartcard forssh
if the authentication subkey is of typeRSA
,nistp256
ornistp384
.nistp521
doesn't work at all although I cannot find any suspicious output inssh -vvv
:The command
smartpgp-cli switch-p384
changes the type of all subkeys. Is there a way to only change the authentication subkey type?gpg --card-edit
doesn't work for me.I have written down my smartcard installation steps here: https://github.com/duxco/gpg-smartcard
