Administrative Templates (ADMX/ADML) #1629

Administrative Templates files .ADMX .ADML are XML Syntax Files. There are for Group Policy Administrative Template settings. Possible to add them for XML highlighting?

I could only find 26 files for .admx and 84 files for .adml. From the README:

We try to only add languages once they have some usage on GitHub, so please note in-the-wild usage examples in your pull request.

This is also valid for new extension. I'm afraid these extensions are not used enough on GitHub to be recognized by Linguist.

It's possible to set XML Highlighting for the .admx in my github repo?

I think it should be possible with the new linguist-override feature but I can't find how... Maybe it's not possible because Linguist doesn't even consider the files in the first place. @arfon Do you if we can override Linguist detection to recognize .admx files as XML?

Hi @trockenasche - the linguist-overrides are currently only for language statistics and do not override the highlighting on GitHub.com so unfortunately what you're trying to do won't work sorry.
