Installer not working with VS 2015 Enterprise #1184

Tried installing but get error: "This extension is not installable on any currently installed products." Logs attached. VSIXInstallerLog.zip

Hi @jaxuk

It looks like the VS installer itself is crashing. There is a known bug in the installer that can be triggered in certain situations, and cause the VS extension installation cache to get corrupted.

Also, which version of VS is it?

Hi,

I have tried to install it before without success on this machine in this version of VS (2015 Enterprise).

I have tried to download the installer from the website and also install via the Extension and Updates inside VS. Both get the same result and error.

Nope never had vs 2017...

@jaxuk How many installations of Visual Studio do you have in this machine? Could you post the versions that shows up in the About window please?

I wonder if your extension cache for VS2015 is corrupt.

Are you able to install any other extensions to VS2015?

I can install other extensions yes. I will try this shortly and let you know what happens.

@jaxuk, I've been having a look through our open issues and was wondering if you had any luck installing the extension?

Not yet no, I'll be back on the project that really needs the extension next week, so I will take a look asap.
