Requesting addition of Try Git logo for resource link #80

Closed dandenney closed 11 years ago

Gregg Pollack asked me to try using the Try Git badge for the resource link to try.github.com. This request adds a link to the header, including the badge.

I'll defer to @cobyism for design decisions here. I'm of mixed aesthetic feeling of moving it to the main block when it is already mentioned in the "High Quality Resources" section. I would be amenable to Try Git being the badge on that third panel. CC: @github/training-team thoughts, ladies and gentlemen?

Existing placement of Try Git in the third box:

We can certainly try that. The only issue with this is... how would you categorize Try Git: Web-based class or High Quality Resources.

If I had to pick one way to describe it, it'd be Web-based class.

Is that where it belongs? I'm okay either way, but I think that's one reason why we moved it up where it is in this pull request.

I like the idea of including this somehow on the overview page (as an explicit callout in addition to the link in the third overview block), but I’m not sold on the hero block as the location for it.

This is by no means a final suggestion, but would a full-width dedicated block a little lower down like this work better?

@cobyism I really like that. :+1:

I would merely remove the exclamation point.
