What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. settings
2. wifi-setup
3. Network-Device (empty dropdown list)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
empty dropdown box (wlan is enabled, led is on), i think fitting driver is
missing for Realtek 8187SE chipset

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
XPUD 0.9.2

Please provide any additional information below.

wlan not acessible - no wlan module found on MSI U100 Netbook with Realtek
RTL8187SE (MS-6894) Chipset.
addional drivers loaded in opt - same result, no wlanmodule found. ethernet is
working fine

go to look in there :
http://download.xpud.org/devel/
the iso and exe files for last development snapshot are in there.
There is also a link from download page on the website
http://www.xpud.org/download.en.html

I think medion akoya has the realtek wireless adapter

tried latest snapshot xpud-02032010, no entry in wireless network (network
device field empty)

wlan is ok under windows - status led is on, so wlan is on.

any other ideas ?

tried with snapshot 09052010.iso today (was busy in last 2 weeks) , screen
troubles (right 5cm black), no wlan detected. same with opt driver module from
june loaded. is there a chance to only load fitting rtl8180 driver as opt
module.

Regards
Volker

Have exactly the same problem with Asus EeePC 1001PX. Ath9k is loaded, but
there is no wlan0/ath0/eth1 interface in ifconfig. Reloading module doesn't
work. Opt drivers don't work.
