Viewing a new item is always blank #607

Mingle Card: 355 Removing the link.  Looks like we a clearer use case.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Click the new items button
  2. Click on a new ticket

Expected result

Should see the same view as if you had clicked on a recent ticket

Actual Result

Blank screen
