I think we're going to add these items to the side and automatic, so they don't need to be in this PR:

@hectorsector I went ahead and edited this branch based on @heiskr's advice to leave out certain sections. What do you think?

I'm going to close this one out in favor of #38 since this PR got a little messy after the force push!
