Currently, the gitpod option only uses the Gitpod base image it does nothing in the way as optimizing it for Gitpod this ticket is to track improvements

@JesterOrNot Can you elaborate on the close-source solution on gitpod's dockerfile processing so that we know how to implement it?

afaik gitpod is adding a dockefile code blocks to all dockerfiles for sanitization
