Well, I tried this app because I've seen it somewhere on the internet and it seemed cool. Unfortunately in my opinion it won't make me use it instead of web github.
First of all it's slow, like the UI. It feels very choppy and it lacks the responsiveness of a native app (quite normal being an electron one), but this makes me not want to use it and prefer the web page. It doesn't have the macOS overscroll, the preferences window is laggy and overall it simply doesn't feel nice.
Another thing that makes me not to use this app is the need of a user account on gitscout, this, together with the closed source code really makes me think if it's worth to give up on my privacy only to have a fancy app which in this case it doesn't even behave as I'd like.
On the good side, the design is very neat and clean, I really like it. The repo switcher is fantastic, it makes everything more lightweight.
Sorry if it seems I'm being rude but that's unfortunately that's my opinion. I don't see any big advantage on using this app instead of going to github.com.
