It is normal for the CPU to be this "slow". Here is my benchmark for comparison:
#1: 'CUDA-Device #1 'GeForce GT 540M'': 4148.2 PMKs/s (RTT 2.7)
#2: 'CPU-Core (SSE2/AES)': 337.2 PMKs/s (RTT 3.1)
#3: 'CPU-Core (SSE2/AES)': 367.6 PMKs/s (RTT 3.4)
#4: 'CPU-Core (SSE2/AES)': 333.1 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#5: 'CPU-Core (SSE2/AES)': 381.4 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#6: 'CPU-Core (SSE2/AES)': 346.7 PMKs/s (RTT 3.1)
#7: 'CPU-Core (SSE2/AES)': 350.5 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#8: 'CPU-Core (SSE2/AES)': 342.4 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
However, your GPU seems a bit slow to me. I'm no real expert on GPU's, but how
strong is it? I mean, can you play for example Deus Ex: Human Revolution with
it?

the GPU is slow, im actually surprised it has cuda cores ... its that old, but
anyway, it only has 16 of them ... and that's not a lot .... the 540M has 96,
supposedly, and the ratio seems fairly consistent ....

Yes, I agree with you. Anyway, I thought my 740m would have been faster, it has
384 cores..
@dave which CPU did you benchmark on? Just trying to understand if it's normal,
or something weird in going on with my laptop
#1: 'CUDA-Device #1 'GeForce GT 740M'': 11811.9 PMKs/s (RTT 2.8)
#2: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)': 410.0 PMKs/s (RTT 2.9)
#3: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)': 408.8 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#4: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)': 412.9 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#5: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)': 410.1 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#6: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)': 411.0 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#7: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)': 408.3 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)
#8: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)': 400.9 PMKs/s (RTT 3.0)

a query, I installed everything correctly,
when running list_cores: shows me this.
all right, let me know as I do that
"'CUDA-Device # 1' GeForce 410 '' 'show me
the other 3 cores?
#1: 'CUDA-Device #1 'GeForce 410''
#2: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)'
#3: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)'
#4: 'CPU-Core (SSE2)'
