Enable Travis CI testing #1

This copies the environment file so that we can prepare a reduced version and test loading that environment in Travis CI. I removed many packages from environment.yml and we can add back important missing packages from environment-complete.yml until the environment works again with the notebooks.

I discussed with @xiaohk and we agreed to merge this version of the environment. He will update it to add other required packages as needed.
