New Release #480

Are there any plans for a 0.7.12 release? Are there any things that would need to happen before for the next release?

I'm particularly interested in #342, but probably there have been other useful changes too.

Since package maintainers often use release tags for orientation, tagging a release would cause those changes to trickle down to various distributions.

We are currently looking into removing pcre from the Arch Linux repositories as it is no longer maintained upstream: https://archlinux.org/todo/move-to-pcre2/

@gittup in https://github.com/gittup/tup/commit/f26bc1e8c0b87d9d351e062c7d27afbbdc53869d you have added support for pcre2, which would greatly help us in this quest.

A release would be much appreciated!
