System tray bug - Ubuntu #2267

Open jhossettstalinn opened 1 year ago

jhossettstalinn commented 1 year ago

Ubuntu 23.04

The system tray is not working well. I install the app... then I restart my system and at startup the tray icon shows up (with the app minimized), but when I try to open it, nothing appears. My system tells the app is running.

Which version are you running on 23.04? I haven't added the package for the latest 0.99.55 in the PPA yet, will do shortly

But I tried with Flatpak and AppImage (version 0.99.55) and I got the same issue.

I've just update cherrytree to the latest version from repo and nothing change 😕

I will set up a virtual machine and see if I can reproduce. In the meantime you probably want to disable the systray editing directly ~/.config/cherrytree/config.cfg with a text editor if the CherryTree main window doesn't pop up at all. Ensure cherrytree is really not running first from a terminal running "killall cherrytree". Also if you run cherrytree from a terminal what output do you see?

Yeah I was using it like you say... without systray...

It's an output... uhm

I think the issue it's related to GTK versions
