given how cherrytree creates and stores notes in a hierarchical fashion, it seems to me it has the potential to become a very useful, desktop, WYSIWYG CMS of which there is a distinct lack of these days (other than publii, i don't know of anything else that's simple and works off-line)
however the html export function would need some work to make this viable...
don't wrap ol/ul/img/table/etc. in 'p' tags
don't <p></p> empty lines
don't minimize html by default
avoid adding css
user created html templates for prepending and appending custom html
html linter (tidy perhaps?)
rich text editor...
perhaps the editor could have an 'html mode' option where 'enter' would insert an empty line followed by a new 'p' and shift+enter 'br'
some real-time markdown to html conversion support would be greatly appreciated (# is auto-converted to 'h1' in the editor for ex.)
