Connector installation error on windows 2008 R2 server #1

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I installed the connector on Windows 2008 R2 server on a fresh Alfresco
Enterprise 4.0 installation. I followed the instructions from the
AdminUserGuide. Instead of command:

sudo java -jar bin/alfresco-mmt.jar install amps/mdbc-1.0-SNAPSHOT.amp
tomcat/webapps/alfresco.war

I used the following:

java -jar bin/alfresco-mmt.jar install amps/mdbc-1.0-SNAPSHOT.amp
tomcat/webapps/alfresco.war

as I am installing on windows and not UNIX.

Now I cannot login into http://127.0.0.1:8080/share/

Error: The remote server may be unavailable or your authentication details have
not been recognized.

Please help.

Hi, can you provide alfresco.log content errors? ..
Greetings!

Thanks for your response. As I am new to Alfresco, could you please tell me
which log file do you want to see. Under folder "C:\Alfresco\tomcat\logs" there
are 15 error log files but was unable to find alfresco.log. Please see attached
image.

Hi Vikas,
catalina-2012-05-11 seems to be most recent. Anyway, in the path C:\Alfresco\
should be a file called alfresco.log (cleaner than catalina).

Hello Venzia, I have found the log file in C:\Windows\System32 folder. I have
attached the log file from yesterday when I installed the connector. I hope
this is not to do with the JDBC driver for MS-SQL. I have copied the files
sqljdbc.jar and sqljdbc4.jar in the folder tomcat\lib.

Ok, you must copy attached mysql-connector.. file in tomcat\lib and restart
Alfresco (The examples included by default work with MySQL, not MS-SQL, these
can be changed after the first start, to fit your needs).
Let me know if Alfresco now starts correctly.
Regards!

NOTE : For MSSQL 2005 jdbc "Connectors" we use jtds-1.2.2.jar (attached).

Thanks Venzia! I could now log in. This has solved my problem. Now I will try
to connect to MS-SQL.
