A number of changes inspired by discussions at the Fall Vision meeting. Some highlights:
Implemented a fit to the Dacey data for the midget fraction. Discovered that this produces very poor convergence functions, largely because the mRGC counts are too large in the periphery
The main routine now allows selection of the Dacey or Drasdo function for the model
Use of the Drasdo function for the midget fraction seems to do best.
The midget receptive field linking function was adjusted to have a max ratio of 1.9 mRF to every cone at the fovea. While a value of 2:1 would be supported by anatomical studies, the Watson formula have a discontinuity at the fovea making the modeling of a 2:1 ratio difficult.
Found a set of linking function parameters that work quite well for all meridians (although the superior meridian mRF ratio function seems off from the Watson equation).
Starting to divide up the demo and validation functions into those that are intrinsic to the toolbox and those that will move over to a repo for making figures for a paper
