The IOL Master is used to measure the axial length of the eye. The subject is asked to fixate a red point, and the axial length is measured along the axis that connects the fovea to that measurement location. Therefore, the device reports the axial length of the eye along the visual as opposed to optic axis of the eye. This will lead to a slight over-estimation of the length of the eye.
Need to understand this more completely and, if necessary, do some quick trigonometry in the the modelEyeParameters routine to adjust.
