Hello,

I run XBMC (OpenELEC 4.0.7) as my media center. It's hooked up to an amplifier (Pioneer SC-2024) that is later connected to the HDMI switch that AmbiTV (HDMI2AV -> Grabber -> Pi) and my LGTV is connected to. (I'm in Sweden, so everything is PAL.)

I have run in to a little problem. AmbiTV works from time to time.

AmbiTV works great in the menus. The settings are set to 1080p and 50hz. TV-Show that work - Last Week Tonight With John Oliver. LEDs light up and picture on the screen. TV-Show that doesn't work - South Park. LEDs turn blue, still picture on the screen. Movies - None. LEDs turn blue, still picture on the screen.

Any ideas on what is causing this? HDCP? Have been tinkering around with different settings the whole night.

I'm just throwing this out there, it may not have anything to do with your issues. Do you know if the resolution is changing between the shows? 1080 to 720 and back? I'm not too familiar with openELEC but perhaps it is changing the output to match the source.

I use ambi-tv with windows media center which keeps the same output (1080) regardless of the input sd/HD 480/720/1080 etc. Maybe the hdmi splitter you're using doesn't like the source changing? Maybe the hdmi2AV doesn't like it? I've had a lot of issues with my hdmi splitter and av converter where the splitter copies the edid of the first device powered on and provides that to the source (in this case the av converter). Windows didn't like that. If the splitter gets powered off (unplugged) then media center crashes. Lots of issues.

So maybe you can plug the source directly into the hdmi2AV converter and see if the LED work then - bypassing the hdmi splitter.

Hope you get it working

I did actually find out what the problem was. Thou it´s vary irritating... I needed to switch of the setting in XBMC called "Adjust display refresh rate to match video".
