Support for attaching to already running process #55

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Do we have the support for attaching to already running process? I was trying
to attach it to already running my media player.

Another thing is: can we start likwid and then start the process (media player
from App folder), and after some time close likwid but let the media player
run, and collect the counters.

By the way my media player is multi-threaded I believe, it does not get invoked
from command line correctly.

If we could get support for any of the two, the world would become more
beautiful :)

Hi,

by design you cannot attach to a process with likwid. I think that there are
still possibilities to achieve what you want to for your media player.

I suggest to further discuss this in the user mailing list as it may be also
useful for others.
