As it was already posted, I plan to utilise modular construction which can be extended to visually any number of channels.
On the other hand, I want to have in addition:
Ethernet
PoE
GSM module
LiPo supply option
High Power Entry
Temperature sensor with 1 wire and analog sensors entry
MODBUS RTU interface
Relay modules. They can be also connected by the MODBUS.
Digital I/O
Analog 0-10V I/O
Enclosure is another issue that need to be discussed separately. It would be nice to fit it to standard DIN rail mounted enclosure.
So far I sketched schematics for:
power meter
PoE
Ethernet module
Hub with WiFi and BT
The modules can be arranged in the following way:
On the left side we have PoE, then Ethernet, hub and 3 power meters.
At the moment the connectors are 4 pin, but I consider adding also I2C wires and one custom wire for remote firmware upgrade. Maybe +12V would be feasible for high power applications.
