Also I hope I followed the template correctly! I didn't save the template so I wasn't able to go back and check if I did everything right but I tried my best to complete it correctly with the memory of the quick scan I did threw it
Some animals (including pygmy hippos, bison, Galapagos tortoise, beavers, etc.) have a really hard time path finding down blocks I've noticed, I've tested this on both a server and in singleplayer so it defiantly seems to a problem with the ai itself. and this can be a problem since I usually build my exhibits with lots of hills and it sucks to see them get stuck at the top and not be able to come down without me having to either push them down or put them in a net and carry them down to the bottom.
here's a pygmy hippo stuck on top of blocks (seen in image below)
I've also noticed a few other problems like when a animal steps into the same block as a fence they're ai completely breaks and they can move at all till either push out of the block, or the block is broken, or the are put in a net and moved elsewhere (or till they stave to death). as seen in the image below.
if these problems can be fixed soon it would be very appreciated! (these tests where all done with biomes o plenty installed)
these are both easily recreatable with these simple steps!
For the not being able to pathfind off blocks follow these steps 1.place block
for the not being able to pathfind out of a block that has a fence post on it follow these steps 1.place block (that's at least 1 block above ground level) 2.place fence 3.spawn or bring an animal next to fence 4.push animal into the same block as fence (or wait for it to move to that block itself) 5.wait and watch to see if it moves from block if it doesn't move from the block within 2-3 minutes you did it correctly!
also I'm now thinking after righting all that that those are probably the same issue and the fence isn't part of it. but i do know they refuse to path find from the block the fence post is on to water that's next to it so ill leave all the stuff about the fence just incase that's a different issue.
also if you have any questions about the issue ill try to check back here every now and then and reply to anyone, at least for the first 1-2 weeks or so!
again ide love to see this issue fixed soon! it would be highly apricated!
