Parts of the system hang while other processes still work #109

On Beagleboard xM C5 I installed ubuntu 10.11 and debian 3.1.5 which both have
the same issue: after several hours it does not appear to be running any
cronjobs, nor can I connect using minicom. I can connect using tunnelier on
windows, but I can't connect using nautilus over ssh (some message about a
key). Because the problem exists in two different linux distro's I thought it
would be safe to post the issue here.

The issue takes more then 10 hours to appear mostly.

Any processes that I started through a cronjob are still running, but no new
ones appear. This issue seems related, though it is reported as solved:
http://code.google.com/p/beagleboard/issues/detail?id=22

I'll be happy to supply more info, but at this moment I am unsure which data
can help.

I have been unable to find a solution for my problem. Instead I am using the
supplied Ångström distribution after finding out Debian had the exact same
problem...

If anyone solves the problem, let me know because Ångström is not ideal in my
case...

I have the same problem on Beagleboard xM C4 with ubuntu 11.10 now and
previously with debian lenny.

The board hangs unexpectedly in random time. It may occur after days after
startup or after several hours.

The last time board hangs, I copied out /var/log directory, maybe it can help.
The only error I see is NFS errors (I'm using NFS to mount my home direcrory).

If you need more info, just ask.
