Adding alt=csv to AdSense API report call results in exception in the PHP client libraries #128

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the AdSense API to make a report call
2. Set alt=csv to get CSV output
3. Receive an exception

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Data in CSV format. Exception while attempting to parse the response. Seems like client libraries expect JSON so an exception is thrown while trying to JSON decode the CSV.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
AdSense Management API v1.1, PHP client libraries

(I logged this with the AdSense API folks and they said to log an issue here
instead. Let me know if this is not the right place. Thanks!)

It's documented in the service comment. Either this option should be removed or
the code should detect the appropriate format. May be worth referring to the
other libs for how they handle this case.
