1 year ago I have studied SfM pipline. And, I used COLMAP to create basic 3D data from a simple image of my room:
I also read its documentation and got familiar with its database management. I saw the features and matches separately.

[x] Study in depth the related paper (it is the backbone of the SfM pipeline described in class during the 3DP course, so you should be already familiar with this stuff): https://openaccess.thecvf.com/content_cvpr_2016/papers/Schonberger_Structure-From-Motion_Revisited_CVPR_2016_paper.pdf
[x] Install it on your PC and try some 3D reconstruction from images taken some public dataset and from images taken from your phone (calibrate it before)
