When users in a group are getting close to using their allocated disk storage
capacity, there is no mechanism to warn them of this, possibly leading to
unavailability of the file store.
We were asked for a mechanism to generate warnings when available or allocated
disk capacity is nearly full, but I'm not sure there's any way to do this with
off-the-shelf file system clients.
It might be possible to have the file system impose per-user quotas: that's
not exactly what was requested, but it might address the underlying concerns.
