Test Case: Connection Failure #37

Download the APK (built from the master branch at 9AM on 18th May 2018) from http://www.glarimy.com/engineering/community/glarimy-quiz-community/android-app/app-debug.apk.

Install the APK on an android device:

Disconnect the internet connection and then open the app. Wait till the welcome (#35) and initial scoring screen ( #36 ) disappears.

Then verify the following:

  1. The screens looks like the following:

  1. There is no title bar.
  2. The logo Glarimy Quiz appears in the bottom of the screen.
  3. The logo Glarimy Quiz is in aqua color.
  4. The background of the screen is in strawberry
  5. A message "OOPS!" appears in the middle of the screen
  6. The message is in the color white
  7. Below the message, a suggestion "Connection Problem. Check your internet connection" appears in the middle
  8. The suggestion is in the color white
  9. There is no reaction to clicking on any part of the app.
  10. The screen disappears only after connecting to the internet.

Record your observations on each of the above 11 points. Complete the activity by 12 Noon 18th May 2018.

  11. The screen disappears only after connecting to the internet. - failed Additional comments: when internet is not connected this screen is not displayed just app displays black screen and app stops

The screen disappears only after connecting to the internet. – failed Additional comments: Disconnected the internet connection and when open the app upto some time the app shows the welcome message and and no other screens are opening and shows the black screen continuously and there is no reaction when pressing the back button and also the mobile phone is hangs.

Additional comments:- sir whenever iam trying to open the app after disconnecting the internet there is no reaction for sometime and after sometime it just move to blank screen ...i tried moving back but it is not going and my phone gets reboot again....i just switch off and on it again....

  1. There is no title bar - passed
  2. The logo Glarimy Quiz appears in the bottom of the screen - failed (logo is expected to appear in the middle of the bottom. but, it appears on the left of the bottom)

  10. The screen disappears only after connecting to the internet - failed. The screen is disappearing after connecting to the internet. But, it is not allowing to check the internet connectivity. It may be because the app is running in full-screen mode. Also, the screen is flickering for every 1-2 seconds which doesn't look good.

sir for the test case-10 you mentioned that, it is not allowing to check the internet connectivity.is it good when we provide the any alternatives from that screen to switch on the mobile wifi or mobile data or any other solution suggest me

the screen is flickering for every 1-2 seconds,we can fix this problem from the above solution like when we switch on WIFI it will wait until the connection established and then moves to the next screen
