I am a bit concerned, because I can copy the magnet links within qrookie. So is it downloading them via these magnet torrent links, or is this separate. I am just wondering if I should use a vpn.

Don't worry, QRookie downloads the game through HTTP, the copy magnet links button is just for the convenience of those who like to use BitTorrent or pursue faster download speeds.

Specifically, QRookie needs to access the following domains:

https://theapp.vrrookie.xyz （games data）
https://raw.githubusercontent.com (config file)
https://vrpirates.wiki (config file)
https://torrents.vrpirates.wiki (maganet links)
