I've actually been thinking about this quite a bit. Is there any prior art that people can point me to for either:

• Good libraries in erlang. Timex and the Elixir stdlib modules are good but pure erlang could be a basis for being wrapped.
• Good datetime utilities in strongly typed languages, I have less experience here
