For me it's unclear how that prefix part works. I have an favicon.png and a favicon.16x16.png in my src folder, but that does not change anything. The output is still a large favicon.ico
Also in your code, at the beginning there are several icons created but deleted and the end of the code. I don't understand, please clarify.
