Publishing a blog with limited access #160

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Windows Live Writer allows to write articles to blog, which has allowed access
only to its owner (Blogger.com). ScribeFire does not allow that. If my blog is
closed and it is purely private, I can not use ScribeFire. I open ScribeFire
but I am not able to add my blog. :( (I was using Google Translate, apologize
me, if my english is bad)

Can you post a URL of a blog you have that is private? I should be able to make
ScribeFire work with it if I have it as an example.

Thanks for the URL; I see the issue, and I've contact Google about a possible
fix. In the meantime, I'll look at a workaround.

If you log into your blog before opening ScribeFire in Chrome, it should work
for the rest of that browsing session.

It's just a workaround. The bug is still open, and it will eventually be fixed.

This has been fixed as of version 4, since the new authorization method works
around this.

What happens when you try and add a Blogger blog? Do you get an error? Does it
just freeze at some point?

I have the same issue with Firefox 18.0. When I try to add my blog with
restricted access, Scribefire says:
'Well, this is embarrassing...
While trying to determine your blog's settings, ScribeFire tripped over this
code: INCOMPATIBLE'
Any workaround? Logging in before doesn't help. Other blogs work fine. I'm
ready to provide any information to fix this.
