connectivity issue during installation #30

Closed Papos92 closed 9 years ago

Good morning,

My name is Tom van Wijk and i am a dutch bio-informatics student, currently currently working on my graduation project concerning whole genome multiple sequence alignment for plant genomes.

I would really like to use cactus to generate a number of graph-based whole genome multiple sequence alignments. However, during "make" command of the installation progress i seem to be unable to connect to one of your databases. The following error occurs and the installation just keeps retrying this step:

--2015-01-12 09:15:16-- (try:18) http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/admin/exe/linux.x86_64/wigToBigWig Connecting to hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu|128.114.119.163|:80... failed: Connection timed out. Retrying.

I killed the installation progress but i that way i am unable to run the virtual python environment (using "bash environment") so clearly there are still missing files due to killing the installation prematurely. The error when trying to build the virtual environment:

-bash: environment: No such file or directory

I don't know why i cannot connect to hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu and i hope that you can help me to complete the installation. Thank you a lot!

Greetings, Tom van Wijk
