Submodule URLs are SSH #3

You can't clone this repository over https unless you also have your ssh public key connected to a Github account, because when you go to init and update the submodules, git tries to download from their ssh URLs.

Their URLs should be changed to https URLs to support anonymous checkout of the repository.
