Thanks for the suggestion, Keith. It sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure yet whether or not it's outside the scope of this project (see https://groups.google.com/d/topic/zetaglest/C_J9dX2xutM/discussion for more info).
We'll have to see how much feedback we get on this first.
When hitting a unit during an attack, the attacked unit's lives continue to decrease for a specified time with a specified decrease of lives.
This could be implemented by enabling an attack boost with health degeneration on the unit attacked which was attacked by the unit possessing the poisoning ability. However the degeneration is only specific to the unit attacked.
Preferably instead of setting an attack boost, making the poison attack skill a type of persistent attack, so the armor of the attacked unit is taken into consideration on the lives decreased from it each second.
However, by a poison attack I do not mean like the roman spear man, where he can keep attacking the same unit from the same place even when the unit has distanced a bit from its range. I mean that if the spear man hits one unit and then anther, both the units that were hit would possess a short period of life decreasing (degeneration).
I really want his btw, to fix medieval, because it has poison upgrades, and all they do is just increase the lancer's damage, but I'm determined to improve that.
