Switch from one song to another very slow

Hi First of all thank you for all your work on this plugin. A must have since lots of people use Spotify and kodi.

I tested it on windows 11 running kodi nexus 20.2 and kodi omega latest nightly. I tried 3 different versions of the plugin. 1.3.6 through the last one 1.3.8 all of them seems to have the same problem. If I select an album or a playlist to play it take long time ( sometimes around 10, 15 or even 20 seconds) to start playing and to switch between songs. Sometimes (rarely) it starts and/or switches quickly (2/3 secs)

I saw somewhere that you have work on this problem but for me seems that this problem persists.

I used to have tidal2 plugin and it used to work very well with switching between songs almost instantly.

Hi, Thanks for raising this. It does play playlists Ok on Linux but I haven't checked on Windows. Can you get me a kodi log when the playlist or album is slow? Use hastebin or pastebin.

This will help a lot with me figuring out the problem.

I've checked the log and unfortunately it's not clear to me what the problem is. I can see various http errors but they are very generic errors, nothing specific. It's possible that some of your addons are conflicting with the Spotify addon. I have tried the addon on my Windows 11 and it works fine.

I wonder if you could try a fresh install of Kodi portable in another directory, without any extra addons. Then install the Spotify plugin 1.3.9 and see if that works. Thanks.

Hi Well I tested it on a fresh install of kodi and it really seems to work ok, but I don’t use kodi only to listen to Spotify, so unfortunately I have to keep using tidal and drop Spotify. Anyway thank you for your help.

Thanks for testing. Just out of interest, with the fresh install and just Spotify, if you add Tidal does it then break Spotify?

Hi Just sent you another email with logs. Fresh install. Just install repo and plugin. Restart kodi Try to play one song. It took almost 20 seconds to start playing. I think that probably is something to do how plugin handles cache or how it communicates with the libraries that it needs to work properly, or even a problem with one of that libraries!?? , and so it work well sometimes and other times don’t. Or work well on a specific environment but gives problems on another one. Just a thought ( in reality I don’t understand nothing of this) Thank you for your patience and time.

Hi Thanks for trying. I got your email but there was no log. I'd be really keen to see the log because as I said above, my fresh install of Kodi with Spotify has no problem on Windows 11.
