At quick glance, the data publications contains various pollinator-plant networks expressed in traditional matrix form in text-based csv files.

The data appears to be prepared for human consumption and work is needed to make the data machine readable:

1. Columns do not seems to align with the interaction cells
2. Localities are encoded in free-text and need to be transcribed and linked into a new data scheme
3. sex is encoded in the (column) names (e.g., Euphorbia balsamifera (f))
4. date at which the observations were made are not apparent

In an ideal world, the matrices would be transcribed/re-published in a pair-wise "tidy" row format as described in https://tidyr.tidyverse.org/articles/tidy-data.html with example at https://github.com/Extended-Bee-Network/bee-interaction-database .

The matrices can then be reconstructed from that pairwise format if needed.
