The way the NCDC reports mpox cases is misleading, as they report confirmed(suspected) cases. There is no indication if the confirmed cases are part of the suspected case count or not. Following the WHO dashboard, it is concluded that the number of suspected cases reported by NCDC does include confirmed cases. If you add the new number of suspected cases from week 42 to the reported cumulative number of suspected cases in week 41 (1339+56) you get the current suspected case count of 1,395. If you add the 6 additional cases, you get a larger number.
102 suspected cases that we could not match to a specific location admin 1 have been changed to 'omit error' to reflect the decision that the number of suspected cases reported by the NCDC also includes confirmed cases, as presented by the WHO dashboard. This means that we have 1,339 total cases, before curating week 42 into the line list
