Should all cases be verified?

I am frustrated when I hit bottlenecks, or I am the bottleneck!

As a senior curator and Curation Team Lead, there is a large responsibility to ensure timely and accurate data entry for ALL cases in our dataset. I review cases in my queue as a Senior, but I also go back and review cases that have been completed by others. This level of oversight is not realistic or sustainable when wearing multiple hats and having competing responsibilities and priorities. Data sat in my queue for 24-48h and I had to reach out to another senior curator for support.

We hit a bottleneck at the verification step. Is this a tradeoff we are willing to make -- accuracy for timeliness? Do all cases need to be verified? We need to have this discussion.
