Bugfix: Donkey Kong 64 intro loop bug #207

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Boot Donkey Kong 64 US
2. Select a game file
3. Wait for intro

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? It goes through the
beginning intro with the parrots until you should see the scene with k.rool
but instead it tries to load donkey kong into the area then the camera
repetitively moves back and forth in Dk isles mouth (the entrance)all
while the music is still going, even up to the part in donkey kong's cabin.

What version of the product are you using? On which system and loader?WII64
1.1 Honey,on wii of course,through HBC.

Please provide any additional information below.

Because of this,it renders DK64 still unplayable.

Go to options - Story Mode Skip: On. This will get you ingame, but saving does
not
work and the camera is jerky.

Thanks, also it actually sometimes runs faster than normal with 50VI/40FPS when
it
should go at 60VI/30FPS,plus the audio is always grainy the whole time,so
another bug
would be framerate/timing issues, it's especially fast but with slower music in
the
training barrels.

Games do not necessarily need to run at 60vi/s and 30FPS. Some games, i.e.
Goldeneye
run "as fast as possible", sometimes running at around 10FPS. It's the VI/s you
should be worried about as they should be 60VI/s (NTSC) or 50VI/s (PAL).

Is there any other way we can fix this so we can save the game as well as play
it smoothly. Donkey kong 64 is a long hard proccessed game. You can't NOT save
this game while beating it. Please! Can somebody fix this! :(

I hope it gets fixed too but for now,you can use savestates in fast fps areas
(walk to a corner in a level and use c-up to look at the floor then make
savestate).
