WiiSX fails to find ISOs and BIOS after HBC update and IOS58 install #132

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Load WiiSX 2.1
2.Attempt to load an ISO
3.Message "No ISOs found in usb1"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I want to load an ISO, despite having them placed in the correct and indicated
path, but the emulator can't find them in my HDD. It's also unable to find my
BIOS for the same reason.

What version of CubeSX or WiiSX are you using? On what console?
WiiSX 2.1, and obviously a Wii =P

Are you using HLE BIOS or a real BIOS (SCPH1001, etc)?
Using BIOS SCPH1001

Which core type is being used, Dynamic Recompiler or Interpreter?
None. Can't start emulation without loading an ISO.

Please provide any additional information below.

This issue seems to have appeared ever since I updated HBC to 1.0.8 and
installed IOS58. It was running relatively bug free while on HBC 1.0.6 without
IOS202 (slow and laggy as hell, but back then I had an SD from where I could
play with no problem).
It's worth to note that the exact same problem is also preventing me from using
Wii64 1.1

Should I also post this at Wii64's google code page or would this suffice?

Same issue here. I updated IOS58 (the USB 2.0 IOS) and now a LOT of my apps
don't recognize my USB drive.

Try re-installing your homebrew channel, that cleared up most of my USB issues.
Or if your really desperate, try and track down an unofficial version of Beta
2.1 with ios58 support, then you have full USB 2.0 as well as the newest WiiSX.

Nope. Reinstalling didn't do the trick. In pursuit of different homebrew
related goals, I reinstalled 1.0.6 , which made a duplicate HBC (since both
have different title IDs). Heh, I'm the first kid on the block with TWO HBCs.
Yay =P !

Back to the topic at hand, both emulators have recovered functionality, but
only when launched from HBC 1.0.6

I had this issue as well, re-compiling from source with the latest SVN libogc
(r4299) fixed it for me.

r4299 doesn't exist by the way; it's a dead link.

I know. It's the libogc revision, not the WiiSX revision.
