No MTRI CHL, GLCFS currents? #152

I have a demo this morning (9/20) to which I was thinking of adding a little bit of HABs portal fun, which should generally work fine. I did notice that the chlorophyll and currents background options were not showing anything. I can work around by jumping into the data portal, but am asking just in case if there's something easy to fix.

My demo starts at 9 AM, and I understand very well this is last-minute! And, to reiterate, I can work around.

This is entered as an issue to be resolved regardless of time frame.

9 am EST? It was a quick fix but I worry about redeploying production instances right before a demo, just in case something goes wrong and the application doesn't come up at all
