We need to estimate one-time and annual costs for operating the GLOS DMAC infrastructure completely or partially in the cloud in order to inform our near-term rack space contract decision. @kknee suggested I engage with Brian McKenna to identify basic steps towards doing this, so I need to get his github ID to start ...

@brianmckenna, would it make sense to start with an inventory of servers, including hardware and roles?

@tslawecki I think a good first step would be to have a brief call so that Brian can get a general idea of requirements and ask some general questions. How about the week of the 22nd (@brianmckenna is back in office on 24th)?

Analysis is done. Cost of EC2 comparable to our current configuration so we probably will plan this move for 2019. Tad will post details here.
