Conservation Ontario metadata

Add metadata for approximately 36 authorities to GeoNetwork.

Pending the metadata adds, determine which, if any, should also be accessible via Portal or other tools

Two records have been manually submitted - one was xml (but was created from user entered data in ArcGIS which was in FGDC format so wasn't complete ISO; second was manual GLOS metadata form.

Coordinating with Lauren Slaunwhite at CO, determined it made more sense to have them enter directly into GN instead of going the ArcGIS/FGDC route (although the manual form is acceptable as well). Created a simplified template in GN, added a user account for CO, and created a user guide. Lauren will work with her entities on how best to proceed

Lauren has left her position at CO. Decision made by Rick Wilson is to have the various authorities go back to submitting individually instead of trying to get them up to speed on GeoNetwork.

Spoke with Rick Wilson at GLOS Annual Meeting. They actually have regrouped and are testing out a different gis software to track their metadata. Hopefully within the next couple of months they will have some test data we can see if is compatible with loading into GeoNetwork.
