Ice Layers giving error loading layer #252

From David at GLOS > When I use the ice layers (and a few other layers) on the data portal, I get this:

From me > I was not able to replicate the error but perhaps someone (@kknee ?) could see if the server or the portal itself is misbehaving.

David notes that he encountered it mainly when adding the layers and then zooming in and out.

@kknee on the GLCFS issue - the behavior reported is intentional (there is a drawing error because the layer is not in the viewport) -but we are working to change that across OceansMap.

On the NIC data - we turned off acquisition into EDS for the season. It has since been turned back on and we will monitor over the coming days to ensure nothing has changed.

Update on the NIC data - it did not start coming back in automatically when we enabled acquisition. Likely something changed over the off-season (security protocol, file format, etc). We will investigate and report back.
