PQT issues - Post Cloud Migration #258

  1. Dataset - Nowcast 2D Time range: 2018-07-01 to 2019-04-17 Lake Michigan(Lat: 42.4 long: -87.7) Parameters: Depth-Averaged water velocity, significant wave height, ice concentration, and ice thickness

  2. Dataset - Nowcast 2D Time range: April - December 2014(Historical) Lake erie, Latitude: 41.98317, Longitude: -83.06585) Parameters: Depth-Averaged water velocity

  3. Dataset - Nowcast 2D Time Range - All possible date range(Historical) Lake Michigan - 41.736959,-86.936631 Parameters - Significant wave heigh, Wave direction, wave period

Issue resolution strategy -

Notifying the users about the temporary decommission of the tool -

  1. A survey primarily designed to understand the use cases will be sent to all the users who reached out to us.
  2. A banner with the survey link will be put up on the PQT tool
  3. With the support of GLERL, a server with the archived NetCDF files will be made available to our users. The links will be emailed to all the pending requests.

Next Steps -

Enddat - Enddat will be the priority. The latest nowcast/forecast use cases will be tackled first. Sneha will be working towards understanding the requirements of beach managers, working with RPS to come up a solution that could potentially work with Enddat, work with Enddat group to see if the solution could be integrated.
