User (Herb Philbrick, Michigan City Yacht Club) contacted me directly asking: "Can you tell me what the nighttime illumination is for buoy #45170? I suppose in this day of LED lamps, ‘lumins’ would be a good unit, instead of watts."
I pulled inthe buoy owner, Jay Beugly (PI), and he responded: "44 candles * 12.57 = 553.08 lumens". He also sent the user a photo of the label and a pdf of the user manual https://carmanah.com/files/docs/User_Manuals/61249_M650_UserManual_RevB.pdf
