This is not a bug: There is no languoid called "Quechua", so this is what one gets. One could change this by calling the family "Quechua" (as you suggest), or by manipulating the search in such a way that whole-word partial correspondences are treated as successful matches (if that is practical).

Searching for the language name string Quechua gives no results. Quechuan with a final -n does work, but most individual varieties include the name without the -n. There's actually a big debate among specialists, and criticism that the -n is a bit gratuitious and unnecessary. Many use just Quechua.

It actually is a bug, in the sense that the "quicksearch" (at the right side of the main menu) does not behave like the "match part of name" search on the page Paul made a screenshot of, although the error message seems to indicate that it should. In fact, there are quite a few languages in Glottolog with Quechua as a name part:
Fixed (see clld/glottolog3#73)
@PaulHeggarty, as you mentioned still experiencing occasional surprises in the search function: we actually had to roll-back some improvements to the glottolog3
search a couple of weeks ago (as this revealed a long-standing deeper issue we needed to address first). It might be better after clld/glottolog3#90 is merged (and deployed to [glottolog.org]() shortly afterwards).
Feel free to merge and deploy.

Thanks, done.
