Issue when making a selection in a volume view with an incompatible scatter layer #300

To reproduce:

Add a 3D cube to a volume viewer
Add a scatter layer but don't link, so that the data is incompatible
Make a selection in the volume viewer.

This causes an error.

This is no longer an issue following https://github.com/glue-viz/glue-vispy-viewers/pull/301
