Problem case

I use Batch Edit with Keyboard Maestro. Part of the automation would be if I could preset the 'in this field' (i.e. the default field) to a field I personally use called NB. Also, I would also greatly benefit if I could set the default button to "add before."

Solution

My solution would be to allow users to set up a default field (in my case NB) with a. fallback to whatever you prefer in case that field is not present. Same thing with the buttons.

Thanks for the suggestion! This would be nice to have for sure. Would restoring the last field selection (if it's available in the present notetype) and the last editing mode cover your use case? I would prefer that approach to keep the add-on simple.

If anyone is passing by and looking for issues to pick up: Would also be happy to accept a PR on this (persisting and restoring the previous selections).
