Your question

Hi glutanimate, I love all your add-on esp. this review-heatmap. You did a great job on your add-on. However, can you please give us an option to switch off the inverted color of the add-on whenever we use nightmode? I really prefer keeping the same color as previous version in 2.0 anki.

A clear and concise question about the add-on.

NishitCodes commented 4 years ago

That is a real issue for me too. It would be great if you can solve it.

dchil279 commented 4 years ago

I too would love if this were solved. I always use the native Anki night mode now and so my heatmap looks as if I never do any reviews because of the color inversion

ExtremeCoolDude commented 4 years ago

Issue for me too! Inverted colors are confusing.

sc00bacat commented 4 years ago

I would also really appreciate this!

Can anyone find any solution? Thats still a big problem for me

JasonBaby87 commented 4 years ago

As I was just wondering why the colours are inverted, I see I'm using night mode.

Please do not invert the colours, it does not make sense and is inconsistent with the colours we're used to be seeing on GitHub.

This is a problem for me as well. Any solution would be welcome.

I've found a temporary solution. User @stegatxins0 created a fork of the review heatmap that disables inverted colors while night mode is activated. I've linked the orginal source here and @stegatxins0 's fork here.

I've installed the fork and the colors are no longer inverted. However, I reccomend you back up your Anki before installing just in case anything breaks. I believe a simple export should suffice.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I've added this to my to-do list. It will likely find its way into the add-on as an additional option (as changing the existing behavior would likely cause issues for users who have gotten used to the color inversion).
